My Sober Side Concert and Band Mashup

So this is my first time at a band concert, I'm not experienced with this type of photography but I tried my best. Everyone was hoping for more people to have shown up, the party wasn't as lively, but soon progressed and was full of life out of the few people that were there. I had fun taking photos of the band. Some of the bands that performed along side the main band, My Sober Side, were Tayk Two, After Hours, Love Sick Heroes along with some female vocalists and a surprise performance by the ever so popular Reflection lead singer. I'm not the best at low light photography, but one comment I must make was that there was not enough lighting on the band members, especially the drummers, the only light directed on them was a bloodshot red color which was hard to capture on camera. But other than that the concert went great, some really talented people there.

When it rains it pours.

Have I ever told you guys that my main inspiration is the rain? It helps renew everything in this world, it can be sad and refreshing at the same time. Today it started raining out of nowhere really hard so I wanted to try taking these photos, I can't remember the photographer that inspired me to do this but yeah I didn't have two speedlites so I just used one from behind to light the raindrops. I made my little sister take the photos since I don't have my remote anymore so yeah she didn't know how to focus so some of the photos were really off.

Jennifer is one of my all time favorite models to work with, her boyfriend and her are the cutest couple ever!!! We did a TFCD shoot and the photos turned out great, had a little trouble with the speedlites though but I think they turned out wonderful. I did her makeup today, we originally had the thought of indoor glamor shots but my speedlites were acting up and it didn't turn out so well. We went to downtown Morganton for the first outfit shoot and then headed to the park. We wanted to do a balloon shoot but none of the places would blow up solid color round balloons for us so we just gave up on that idea, but not to worry we'll get to it eventually.

I'm sooo sad! I could have been in the top 16 finalist but I didn't check the right email! I really wanted to participate and yeah now I'm just all hung over because I sent in a late survey. I just want to die right now...I know I wanted this more than anyone else because I freaken dreamed of the contest. Call me weird but yea that's how much I wanted it. I really wanted to meet the Digital Rev team I had such high hopes too. The problem was when I was trying to send a release forum the email wouldn't go through so I tried sending it a lot of times so in the end I didn't really know which one went through and ended up checking the wrong email the whole time. I think I'm going to cry myself to sleep tonight.

But yes I am dealing with this by watching anime....typical emo move for me :/
